History of INCAM
INCAM 2017
3rd Indian Conference on Applied Mechanics (INCAM-2017) was organized by the Applied Mechanics Department, MNNIT Allahabad in Association with Indian Society for Applied Mechanics (ISAM) during 5-7 July 2017. INCAM is the culmination of efforts made by Applied Mechanics departments in the country, to provide a technical platform for discussion among researchers in the broad area of Applied Mechanics. Continuing from the previous successful conferences INCAM 2013 and INCAM 2015 held at IIT Madras and IIT Delhi, respectively, INCAM 2017 have shown sufficient enthusiasm and paved way for many more such technical enclaves in future. The pre-conference workshop on High-Temperature Design and Analysis (HTDA) was also organized on July 4th, 2017.
The Conference was an effort to bring together the scientists/engineers/academia working in the subject areas of biomechanics, design engineering, fluid mechanics, materials engineering and solid mechanics to a common platform at the national level. 243 papers (out of total 327 submissions) were selected for oral presentation and publication in conference proceedings based on different themes of the conference, out of which 223 papers were presented along with 7 posters. 125 papers from IISc/IITs and reputed research organizations like DRDO, ISRO, IGCAR, RRCAT etc. were selected along with a good participation from NITs and other CFTIs. 5 best student paper award along with best poster presentation was given to students.
